A remarkable man…

Governor Andersen’s portrait with his former chief of staff Tom Swain; Photo credit: Lori Sturdevant… now oversees the atrium in the library that bears his name. A portrait of Governor Elmer Andersen was unveiled by Kris Kiesling in a private celebration. It was donated by the family of local artist Louis Grendahl who also painted Governor Luther Youngdahl and President Harry Truman.
