“THE outstanding press in the world”
 That’s how Gov. Elmer Andersen described Whittington Press in 1984 when he donated its archives to the University. The Libraries recently acquired the remaining archive of the internationally acclaimed letterpress printer located in Gloucestershire, England. The acquisition likely makes this the only repository in the world to hold every single item ever produced by Whittington Press.
