'Amelia Bedelia' joins the Kerlan Collection

imageDonated by the artist’s widow, the "dummy" of this beloved third "Amelia" book by Peggy Parish reveals the close collaboration between author and artist Fritz Seibel.

Original ink drawings and watercolors are matched up with taped-in text with scribbled notes. This fragile, 50-year-old document is on its way to the paper lab at Minnesota Historical Society for conservation.
